The importance of the forum is that it enables analytical centers to exchange experience, knowledge, research on contemporary development issues.

This year the forum was devoted to a very topical issue of creating knowledge corridors along the Silk Road. As noted in the message of ADB Vice President Zhang Wenqai, this is especially true, given the emphasis on transforming transport corridors into economic ones, strengthening their knowledge corridors in programs and initiatives of regional cooperation such as CAREC and the Belt and Road Initiative.

During the meeting, issues of investment trends, formation of regional markets as a platform for knowledge exchange area, creation of regional networks and alliances were considered. Experts discussed the role of stakeholders in the formation of knowledge corridors and the main institutional problems faced by think tanks.

It should be reminded that the CAREC Institute was established as a result of the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation Program initiated by the Asian Development Bank and acts as a bridge between Central Asia and the world.
